SKY is the limit - For the LOVE of DANCE - Spain'25

Hello, my name is Skylar I am 12 years old and I was born in Akron Ohio and now live in Niagara Falls Canada. Laurie Ewart's Danceworks is my home studio, where I have been training for seven years. I started doing recreational Hip Hop and Acro, and then I was invited to join the Competitive dance team the following year. Just before my first-ever competition, my studio was closed down due to COVID-19 so my competitions were cancelled for my 2019/2020 season. But that didn't bring me down! After a while my studio went online and we started practicing once again

In 2024 I was scouted at a dance competition and received an official offer for the Jazz team for World Performers Canada. I decided to audition for other dance teams. I made three additional Children teams Contemporary, Tap and Hip Hop. I decided that along with Jazz, I would join Contemporary and HipHop! Next summer The 2025 WPC Dance Team will be traveling to Bourge Spain to compete In the Dance World Cup European Competition, where over 6000 dancers and 60 countries will be represented in this dance competition.

I never really thought a year ago that I would be on such a brilliant, talented team of dancers, but here I am now, on the Canada Dance Team!

Going to Spain will be a lifetime opportunity for me to perform on the world stage. Later in life, I want to look back and see my memories from this lifetime opportunity. I want to push my dancing career as far as possible and never stop my passion. People always say that whatever you put your mind to you can do it! So that's why I will not be taking this for granted. I will be making my dream come true by performing on the World Stage.

I'm seeking sponsorships to help with my trip to Spain which would include competition, choreography, costume fees, and some travel expenses.
