Sky dive for papworth hospital in memory of Clive
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m going to do a skydive to raise money for a charity that’s very close to my heart.
Since the 30th of December 2022 my dad was taken ill and ended up being in hospital from it. He’s had many trips through the years but this time round it was unfortunately his last.
After a long time battling some illnesses since being diagnosed in 2009 with copd, empathsimiya, and angina as well as other illnesses which have led to him having multiple stays in the hospital over the years each time his lungs and heart have taken a pounding and he has never fully recovered, infact there functions have become less and less.
He was first admitted to hospital on the 30th of December 2022 which is where he remained.
On Monday 27th February 2023 at 12:55pm he took his very last breath.
He fought through multiple chest infections and multiple heart attacks and a battle with pneumonia which is why this is now leading me to why I am wanting to raise money for this charity and do a parachute jump in his honour.
Whilst he’s been in hospital (Royal Papworth) the care he has received has been outstanding and I can’t thank them and everyone enough for all they have done for him and our family to make sure everyone has been comforted through out the end of life care and treatment and making sure throughout the whole process he felt no pain and was comfortable.
His one final wish was to get the chance to say goodbye to his mum whilst this took some careful consideration due to her age we gave him his wish and shortly after I lost my nan (his mum).
It’s not been a straight forward journey at all, as you do in these situations you hold out hope. We have laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve remembered the good old days.
He had so much fight in him and was really wanting to fight this but sadly this one got the better of him and with his heart taking so much damage over the years both valves became blocked and the pumping of the heart slowly failed as each day went on.
When I first mentioned about doing a parachute jump for papworth he looked at me and told me I’m crazy but it would be amazing if I could.
I’m asking for people to please help me on reaching my goal or more.
I need to raise at-least £395 just to be able to take part in the jump, all money received will go directly to Royal Papworth Hospital Charity.
This is my personal story of why I want to raise money for this charity and the hospital and do the jump in his honour so THANKYOU Royal Papworth Hospital and the Teams for all you have done ❤️.
My saviour, my inspiration, my world I’m so proud to call you my dad, honestly you’ve taught me everything I need to know and created so many memories and I’ll continue to make you proud. ❤️
❤️❤️Fly high dad I’ll miss you forever and love you forever more️️❤️❤️
