On the night of Sunday January 10th I was riding my bicycle and suffered a severe crash when a deformed segment of chain link fence caught my bike and violently flung me to the ground. I checked myself into the Sutter ER, and after a CT scan they rushed me via ambulance to Memorial Hospital Trauma where I was diagnosed with a fracture to the parietal bone in my skull, concussion, ear full of blood, and a fractured tailbone. As a long time artist/musician AND service worker, I have not only been out of work for almost a whole year, but I know exactly how tough and tight times are for all. I dont assume those reading this are in a position to help me out, but if you are in fact able to donate, even a small amount, I would be BEYOND gracious. As much reluctance as I had to launch a GoFundMe, I’m really without many options. The creative sector continues to exist in purgatory and I am physically unable to take on any work for at least a few more weeks while I heal. 3 weeks after the accident I am still having ringing in one ear, reduced hearing in both ears, and occasional spells of fatigue and dizziness.
