Sheila Knight Memorial Scholarship Fund

This prestigious scholarship honors the memory and legacy of Sheila Knight Sammons, Co-Director of the Vero Beach High School Band from 1980 until her sudden and unexpected passing on Sept. 10, 1995.
If you knew her in some way, there is no explanation necessary. This scholarship fund is in danger of not being awarded and has been funded solely by the Fighting Indians Band Boosters the past several years, which I am grateful for. However, it is time to re-fund the Sheila Knight Sammons Memorial Scholarship and re-establish its integrity. The scholarship, as originally set up, funds $3,000 per year in total. I am hoping to secure the scholarship fund for the next several years.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funds for eligible recipients for educational expenses at institutions of higher learning (Collegiate Scholarship) and for the expenses for summer music camp (Summer Camp Scholarship).
