Sherry Davis and her family lost their home to a house fire on October 16th 2024. The fire started on the back porch with her son and daughter at home. The house was a total loss.

Sherry always has a positive attitude and even through this difficult time keeps a smile on her face. She has been serving as an outside door greeter at Coastal Church in Bay Minette for 4 years.

Sherry is on Social Security and does not have the ability to rebuild her home. Sherry could not afford home insurance due to being on a low fixed income. Both of her children still live with her due to health conditions.

She is currently living on her property in a barn. The barn was built many years ago and has no running water, insulation and mostly dirt floors with minimal power.

Short term she is looking to purchase a camper to live in. The majority of the funds from gofundme will be used to buy a camper and get it set up. The rest will be used for clean up and the start to a more permanent living option.
