Hello there. My name is Heather Era and I'm Phil and Karen Hill's niece.

I'm raising funds to assist the Hill family with upcoming utility and hospital bills. Phil Hill has been in the hospital in the Intensive Care Unit since 4/14/2023 when he was found unconscious and rushed to the Christiana Care Emergency Department.

So far, all that has come across have been that the lower two chambers of his heart are enlarged and there is probably some brain damage, but the extent isn't known just yet. Testing is ongoing. He has been showing signs of hearing those around him, responding to the sound of his music as it is played in his ear, and responding to the ventilator tube irritating him (which, truly, that last one isn't surprising knowing Phil). However, he has yet to fully awaken.

Phil is not only my uncle, but he is a father, a husband, a colleague, and a friend to many. One knows everything is going to be okay in whatever troublesome situation they're in when they have Phil in their corner. There are no worries, there are no concerns, and everything will be fine. However, now it's our turn to do that for him and his family.

Thus far, the outpouring of support and love that Karen, the kids, and the rest of the family have been receiving is greatly appreciated and means the absolute world to all of us.

I plan to update this page with information as we receive it and are comfortable sharing it. There's so much we don't know just yet and what we do know may take some time for us to process. So, we just ask for your patience regarding asking for updates. However, please keep your thoughts and prayers coming.
