Family and friends,

My daughter, Deborah, and son-in-law, Johnny, have been working on their dream home for 3 1/2 years, transforming a school bus into a house on wheels, with the project 80% complete. Sadly, on March 1st, their dream was destroyed as my fire pit got out of control and damaged the bus. The fire did significant harm to the engine wiring, hoses, and peripheral components. Although the inside of the bus did not catch on fire, a miracle indeed, heat built up and damaged the natural wood finish on the ceiling and walls and melted most of the plastic devices: AC, washer dryer, lights, skylight, etc. Unfortunately, there is no insurance to cover the repair costs estimated at $25,000. Given the time and effort put into this unique endeavor, we are all devastated. Please help restore the bus and my daughter and son-in-law's dream by contributing to their Skoolie Restoration Fund.
