Hello! My name is Ashley Schmid and I am a Special Education Teacher in California. I am also an experienced Outdoor Educator and I have a vision of creating an Organized Outdoor Learning experience for my group of students receiving Special Services for the coming 2021 to 2022 school year. Our schools are lucky enough to be located in the foothills of Yosemite National Park and I feel passionate about combining my unique skill sets to create an enriching and transformational program for our students with Special Needs.

As I have been developing this program, my number one hindrance is funding. That's where you all come in! We are in need of funding for this special monthly program throughout the school year. Areas of need your donations will be applied to are safe transportation for our students to and from Yosemite National Park, compensation for extra hours worked by our Special Education staff, and program materials as funding allows. All funds will be transferred directly into the Parent Teacher Group 501(c)(3) account.
