My best friend, Pam, suffered a stroke recently. We are very grateful that she survived; however, the long and rough road to recovery and restoration begins.

Pam is married to a good man, John, who is filling the role of caretaker. However, they are a two-income household by necessity, and with Pam unable to work for the foreseeable future, John's availability to help Pam during the work week is limited as they will need his income.

Even with health insurance, there will be medical bills not covered by insurance and other expenses incurred to facilitate Pam's recovery.

Pam is, and should be focused on her recovery. Finances are an extra stressor neither she nor John should need to deal with.
