Hi everyone,

As some of you may know, in early September our dad Joseph collapsed and had to undergo two major brain surgeries. He was in a coma for approximately 3 weeks and after moving from hospital to hospital, he is now in a rehab facility in Galveston, Texas and has been there since earlier this year. Some days are better than others, but he still has a very hard time remembering who his wife and kids are and the cherished memories he made throughout his life. This has been very difficult for all of us, but it has been especially tough on our mom, Leah. We have been working hard for our mom to help her out with all of the bills. Whether it be helping pay for school bills, or his medical bills, there is only so much we that can do to help her out. She has been working two jobs in assisted living facilities as an occupational therapist, which were both infected with COVID-19 in early April. Around the same time, she tested positive with COVID-19 and was unable to work for two weeks. This year has been a roller coaster of events for all of us. We decided to write this out for our mom because we know that she would never ask for the help herself. Today is our dad’s birthday, and since we are unable to visit him due to the circumstances we are in with COVID-19, we wanted to do something special for our mom to help her out as much as we can.
