Hi, I'm Jessica. My brother Jason (we call him BUD) was in a terrible car accident and is only alive because of the grace of God. His life will be forever changed though. He was hit head-on by a police officer making an illegal pass. He had to drag himself out of the mangled car, broken legs and bones sitcking out, and to the side of the road to call 911 himself. He had to be care-flighted to the hospital in critical condition. He has extensive damage to both legs, 2 broken femurs, broken tibia, crushed heel, dislocated and disconnected ankle bones, multiple foot fractures, shattered knee cap, and multiple stress fractures in his spine. It has been two surgeries already to place rods and pins and reconstruct bones where parts were missing. There are more surgeries to come and then extensive rehab and therapy.

As a carpenter by trade, he likely won't ever be able to return to that line of work due to the seriousness of his injuries. His family and his brand new fiancé are all rallying around him to help in every way possible but medical bills are expensive and that doesn't count the loss of his income as well. He's got three beautiful daughters, a new fiancé, and two soon-to-be step children. He is so worried about how he will be able to provide for them all and worried about being a burden.
