Cleo's Vet Bill

We desperately need your help!!! When Cleo was surrendered to Noah's Ark Pet Rescue we initially thought she wasn't eating because she was pining. Her owner had taken her to the vets to restart her vaccinations before bringing her to the rescue and told us she had no medical issues and a clean bill of health. We had no reason to suspect anything was amiss. As the week went on she barely picked at her food and we noticed some drool. We were horrified when we saw her mouth. When I took her to the vets for her second vacc that week I was ready to give them a piece of my mind. I was furious they hadn't noticed her mouth on the check up. She was is agony. When I arrived gun's drawn and about to blaze they showed me that her owner had been advised an urgent dental was required and that she also had a heart murmur.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. They showed me her record which showed they had discussed this with her owner. Now we would have taken Cleo regardless but the thing that really got to me was not being told she was in perfect health but that she'd been brought in, in pain and something could have been done much earlier to alleviate that. Her heart murmur had also been left untreated.

I'm told the owner disputes the vets said any of this.

The vets booked her in for an urgent dental, and managed to squeeze her in the very next morning it was so urgent. Unfortunately a portion of the crown had not been removed and she went back as she needed antibiotics for an infection.

We took her to our own vets where she had a heart scan for the murmur and a further dental.

This has resulted in a huge vet bill but this girl is worth it. To have been in pain for so long must have been unbearable for her. She also has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She's currently on meds to help with this and will be going back for a check up.

This has absolutely devastated our funds and we need to pay our bill as soon as possible.

Please can you help us?

Once we have the update on whether the meds have helped her murmur, we can then finally find this gorgeous girl a home
