Saddle up for the National Film School production of 'SKIRMISH.'
SKIRMISH is a Western-inspired drama/comedy. That tells the story of Annie, a young woman living in rural Ireland who is stuck in a dead-end job while mourning the loss of her relationship. Until a western-themed night in a local bar seems like the perfect opportunity to win back her ex-girlfriend.
We are delighted with the script's success, as it has been in several festivals, including the 'Kerry International Film Festival' and was recognised as a semi-finalist in the 'Waterford International Film Festival.' We can't wait to bring this story to life

"I wanted to explore the idea of depicting queer characters in a rural setting as that’s where I grew up. I was particularly interested in examining heartbreak with this story in all its drama and humour."

Julia, a Polish-born filmmaker based in Dublin, is currently pursuing a major in Film Directing at the National Film School in IADT. HOW TO HELP
Skirmish is a production that is entirely self-funded by the heads of departments, who, despite all working for free on the project, have been working tirelessly over the past few months to bring this story to life. All we need now are your donations to make our vision a reality.
All funds will cover hiring talent, set design, costume design, make-up, location, transport and catering to create our vibrant world.
We aim to make a film that explores these important themes of self-sabotage and acceptance, while portraying them innovatively and entertainingly. With your support, we can make this a reality! We would appreciate donations of any amount, big or small. All donors will also be credited as Executive Producers for the film.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and supporting us, and we hope you are as excited about Skirmish as we are!
