For most of us we spend so much time sweating the small stuff; worrying, complaining, gossiping, comparing, wishing, wanting and waiting for something bigger and
better instead of focusing on all the simple blessings that surround us everyday, however Jospeh Renaud is not this person, he truly is the “glass half full” kind of person, always up beat with a positive attitude. Life is so fragile and all it takes is a single moment to change everything you take for granted, Joe, Joey, JoJo, as we like to call him is the kind of person you can call on for anything. His soul is pure, his intentions are always good, he is one of the kindest, most giving, selfless humans that walks this earth. He wears many hats but the ones he takes the most pride in are being a father to his two beautiful children, that are quite literally his life, a fiancé, and one hell of a friend. Joe truly embodies the characteristics of a stand up man. It is the most unfortunate thing that terrible circumstances happen to the people who deserve it the least. Joe had been having what he thought was a tooth ache for a few months so he made an appointment with the dentist that has turned out to be doctors appointments almost daily with specialist and Oncologist. Joe has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Liposarcoma that has targeted his neck, jaw, eye socket and nasal passage as well as the nerves and lymph nodes within this area. Specialists suspect this diagnosis stems from his battle with Leukemia when he was a child as this cancer is found mostly in patients that have undergone chemotherapy and radiation in the past. As suggested by Joe’s medical team he has stepped away from his career as a dedicated mechanic in which he has served for the greater portion of his life. Donating to this cause allows Joe and his family to not only pay for the immense amount of medical bills he has already accrued but the ones to come as well, in addition, a donation will afford Joe and his family to pay for their everyday needs such as a simple grocery run, gas in the car or the utility bill. Joe will most likely be undergoing a very extensive surgery at the end of October, he is ready to battle this cancer and he certainly won’t be doing it alone! Life is fragile, and very unpredictable. Tragedy always happens when we least expect it, and it's the more shocking when it happens to the greatest and nicest of people and Joe Renaud is most definitely one of those people.
If interested in attending a bike run will be held for Joe on October 30th, follow the link to learn more!
