Skip & Mel Bowman Hurricane Ian Disaster Fund

Hi- I'm Kelli Joel, Mel's cousin from California. Newlyweds Skip & Mel Bowman reside in Cape Coral Florida, along with Mel's children and grandchildren. The devastation left in the wake of hurricane Ian is overwhelming, and along with so many other residents in their community, Skip & Mel have lost almost everything. Their furniture, personal belongings and jobs are gone.

For the last 11 years, Skip has worked at iconic Bert's Bar & Grill, playing Steel Drums and adding much humor and joy to those soaking in the local vibes. Bert's was totally wiped away, and news channels report Bert's destruction as "A historical tragedy".

The school Mel teaches will be closed for an extended period of time.

They are grateful to have not endured physical harm as they see the devastation surrounding them and others who were not so fortunate.

We are asking friends and family to send thoughts of protection and peace as they rebuild their lives. With no work in the near horizon and their need to replace belongings, this fundraiser has been established for those of you who can join with me and participate in the rebuilding process with financial support.
