Hi, I’m Shannon Mary Dixon — I’ve called California home since 2008—10 years in the city of Los Angeles, then by way of Dana Point ended up settling in the beautiful desert of Joshua Tree. I’m an athlete, yoga/fitness instructor, actress, and esthetician—wellness has always been a big part of my life.
I recently started jump roping, and it’s been a blast. After sharing my videos, I realized this simple routine could bring people together for a city that's been devastated by the wildfires—that’s how Skip 4 LA was born.
The idea is for a span of five days, participants will jump rope once a day, share a video/post/go live, and spread the word about the fundraiser. The goal is to raise $10,000 for the victims and first responders of the recent LA wildfires. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to those affected including: CA Community Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund, Direct Relief, LA Fire Dept foundation, Salvation Army, Pasadena Humane, Baby2Baby, World Central Kitchen, YMCA, and more.
LA has always been home to me, and I want to help support the community and those who’ve given so much.
How you can help:
* Join the challenge—post your daily jump rope video.
* Donate—every bit helps.
* Share—spread the word and challenge others to join!
Let’s show LA some love and support. Whether you’re jumping in or sharing/donating, every little bit counts and helps make a huge impact. Together, we can bring hope and healing to those who need it most.
Thanks so much for being part of this journey. ❤️
