Over the last few years, I’ve been on the biggest journey of my life. I’ve lost 370 pounds with the help of the RNY gastric bypass and have been maintaining my weight loss for over a year now. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done for myself.

Now I’ve reached the next chapter—skin removal surgery. As many of you know, after a significant weight loss, there’s a lot of excess skin left behind. I’ve had a consultation with Dr. Irene Tower and finally have a timeline for my first procedure. I’ll be starting with my stomach and hoping to have an extended fleur-de-lis surgery in July 2026.

The total cost for the surgery is about $19,000, and while this is a huge investment, it’s an important step for my health, confidence, and quality of life.
