January 2018, my brother Robert (Skii) Harris was diagnosed with clear cell renal carcinoma (kidney cancer). His kidney was removed, along with a very large tumor and four lymph nodes. The doctor was hopeful, and thought the cancer was gone. One year later, the cancer is back. After having a biopsy that collapsed his lung, we learned the cancer has now spread to both lungs. Stage 4 renal cell carcinoma. He has a long road ahead of him, but is determined to live his life to the fullest. He’s met with doctors at the University of Michigan, as well as local doctors and came up with a game plan. He will undergo immunotherapy. As you can imagine, this has been life altering for him.
