Unfortunately, the effects of the storm were devastating, for us as well as for most of the island's residents.

All our equipment and maintenance machinery were destroyed or simply disappeared. Our stables were broken up, and with them all the stock of food which we had laboriously accumulated for the needs of the animals for the season.

The cost has exceeded our own endurance and capabilities as a result of our reflection and change of our priorities. Right now our first concern is to ensure the horses are housed, fed and protected from the weather. However, we are unfortunately forced to postpone our racing programs and of course immediately look for what help we can have in volunteer staff, supply of grass, fruit and protective equipment and other equipment (e.g. horse blankets, medicines etc.).
