Fifty years ago this March, the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) led the first all-black summit in history organizing thousands of People of Color to head to the slopes in Aspen - in response, Colorado called in the National Guard, resulting in a standoff on the mountain that ended in one of the most important and undertold stories in BIPOC Winter Sports history.

This year, an NBS contingent set on conquering mountains on each of the 7 continents - a trek 15 years in the making with 4 continents down Their mission is simple and profound: to promote Black Excellence in skiing and snowboarding, to show People of Color that snow sports are accessible, and to explore and showcase various towns and community projects along the way. Additionally, the summit will serve as a means to help raise funds for NBS nonprofit community and youth development programs.

SORCERY is partnering with the expedition team to capture the entire experience in a vivid, emotional, and exciting feature-length documentary to be shared with the world at large. The film will follow a team of African Americans while they explore the backcountry of world, highlighting the landscape and beauty of skiing in around the world as well as the joy of traveling to a new country with friends.
