Support for the Weldon Family
Donation protected
Scott Weldon experienced an unexpected and traumatic medical emergency on Wed., Dec. 9 while out of town for a conference in Las Vegas. Heather has been at his side constantly since hearing the devastating news of his collapse. Their precious daugthers are primarily in the care of Heather's mother, with assistance and support from family and friends. Scott's condition- while at first critical and life-threatening- has improved significantly and he is showing encouraging signs of healing. In fact, Scott will return home to Denver soon, and will receive care at the renowned Craig Hospital.
The Weldon family is navigating this catastrophic life change with grace, strength and purpose; however, many have asked how to help support this precious family. As Scott's condition has stabilized and improved, ways to help and support them are becoming evident.
Scott's medical needs and expenses have been extensive, and while he has made great progress, the future and the extent of his recovery is still unknown. The astronomical medical bills, as well as the costs of managing such a crisis from an out-of-town location, are overwhelming. If you would like to support the Weldon family, a donation toward offsetting the burden of huge medical expenses would be greatly appreciated. You may do so via this gofundme site.
Alternatively, for those who would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please consider giving a gift to the Weldon's home church-- Montview Blvd Presbyterian Church. The Montview Deacons' Fund provides support to families and individuals in need at MBPC. No individual or family may be designated in this case. The Deacons consider requests and provide help to those in need, now and in the future. Checks should be made to Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church with "Deacons' Fund" noted in the memo of the check. Mailing address: 1980 Dahlia St., Denver, CO 80220.
You may also follow Scott's progress via the LotsaHelpingHands site: https://my.lotsahelpinghands.com/community/weldon. Or, sign up to bring a meal here: https://mealtrain.com/0zewo5.
Many thanks for your generosity, love, encouraging words, prayers and well wishes.
