This year, 2026, is our 25th anniversary and we are making the festival extra special with more music, recitals & workshops and the return of the set dancing céilí with the Kilfenora Ceili Band. Otherwise continuing with the festival in the same format as last year - pub sessions, youth sessions, singing sessions, an adult slow session, a 'Reeling in the years' session with older musicians and some daytime cafe sessions, also music workshops in 9 instruments (at intermediate & advanced level) and set dancing. Also the Rambling House session Friday evening (like last year) to include music, dance, song & story-telling.
We have a recital in a small church, also a Harp recital by 5 harpists in a restaurant (both are 4pm Saturday), and also a recital by renowned fiddle player Sorcha Costello on Sunday afternoon at Ardgillan Castle (2pm).
In addition The Lark concert hall will run a TÉADA concert in association with our festival (Saturday 8pm). It is also Téada's 25th anniversary !
We have some financial support from local businesses and from the Arts & Events Offices at Fingal County Council, as well as from the Arts Council. All donations greatly appreciated to help defray the costs of providing free entertainment for the weekend and to help set us up for a successful & full festival in 2026. It is important to keep this cultural event alive which allows us showcase talented performers from across Ireland at a local festival, giving Skerries adults and children access to these talented musicians.
