Hi, my name is Dani.
I'm fundraising to begin the production of my first independent short film titled, Skates.
What is Skates about?
I began writing this script in a screenwriting course as a senior in college. Since then, this script has blossomed into a piece I can genuinely say I'm proud of. Skates is a story about friendship and unspoken words. It follows the friendship between Ryan and Lana, two young women raised in the throws of NYC, and reads between the blurry lines of their friendship.
Why is it called Skates?
Well... because they skate. A good portion of this film takes place in a roller skating rink (which is what we need most of the funds for). The location serves as a haven for the two and their connection.
We start rolling on this film in NYC during August and would love your support!
