My name is Matthew, I'm 32 years old. I have mental health issues with depression and anxiety along with PTSD that makes day-to-day living hard sometimes. I'm not a perfect person, though I have found a way to help others. I wanted to be the first person to skateboard the Appalachian Trail from Maine down the whole way and be able to document the full trip via social media like YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, as much as possible. Turns out its not aloud to be done tho I'm not letting that stop me. So I'm taking the leap and going to skate board across America from the east coast to the west coast starting July 4th to help raise awareness for adult mental health and suicide awareness .
About 4 years ago, I was in a work accident that left me badly burned. After the outside healing was "done," the mental health problems really came into being something dark, and it took a lot to get out of that dark space. I want other men and women to know they don't have to feel that way and that there is other people out there that know that pain so you are not alone.
Any donations will help along the trip across the U.S and when I complete the trip the non profits that I'm working with will get what ever is saved up. As of now I have 2 non profits I'll be donating to. one is for burn survivors and the other is for mental health / suicide awareness .
