SKATE AWAY '99: Fund the Y2k horror short film

Hi! My name is Gunner Willis, I am an actor and filmmaker living in South Carolina. I’ve been making movies since I was a little kid, and now, I’m asking for help to make my next one.

Skate Away 99, is a sci-fi horror set on New Year's Eve 1999, it follows two teenagers played by Shannon Hutchinson and Chase Bridges celebrating the new Millenium by breaking into a skating rink after hours to party til midnight, but they learn very quickly, the Y2k panic was not only justified but horribly underestimated.

This short film is based on a feature I’ve been trying to make for a few years now called Starmax Laundry, a movie combining aliens, Y2k, and my experience growing up in a very Southern Baptist town. So, this film is a chance for me to finally show people what this world and these characters are like.
