Got our December blood work done and most of it is great news! Skadi is FULLY RECOVERED!! Echo is 57 points away from being within range! Hazel, unfortunately, jumped back up, but it’s not as bad as when we stared and they have upped her medication! Next month she will have her blood work done and we will go from there! Here are their results. I am blurring out information that the internet doesn’t need to know.

Over the past couple of weeks we have gotten wonderful letters from St Charles. Even if you don’t feel like donating to us, please donate to them and their cause. They are one of the few exotic animal hospitals in the central Florida area

All SIX pages of Skadi’s bill!

Friday update, as I’m getting the bills together I am updating the ceiling of the GFM, I was very close to the total! I’ll be posting more pictures of the bills, Skadi’s alone is 6 pages long!! Again these are technically not official as it takes 24-72 hours after discharge to finalize!
Thursday update: Skadi is home and well! She’s loving that she is home, she’s eating, napping, and hanging out with her doggy and kitty siblings! She has a regiment of medications that we have to give her. But it’s so much better than her being in a hospital getting them through IV.
We are so so grateful to all of you. We could not have done this without you all! We will be thanking everyone individually with a small video!
The final “bill” will take 24-72 hours to process. I will be posting all three dogs bills when I have the finalized version!
Wednesday PM update: Skadi’s coag times have been consistent for 36 hours!! Which means her liver is healing!! If all goes well she will be home in a couple of days!!
Thank you so so much for your kind words and donations! Thank you so much!
Wednesday 10:30 am update: Skadi’s healing slowly but surly. They tested her coagulation times and only one of the two was 2 seconds off from being in range! Her liver levels are still dropping! She did have a little fever last night but it didn’t persist.
Skadi’s latest bill, for hopefully her last couple of hospitalization days! I unfortunately have to raise up the GFM but it’s not as much of a raise up
Thank you so much for all you have done, Skadi is seriously one lucky dog to have you all care for her this much!
Tuesday 6:00pm update: GREAT NEWS: Coag times are within range for the past 12 hours. And Liver Level are still not in range but are dropping! They are going to slowly wean her off of the liver medication and they are checking her glucose and coag times to see that she is doing it on her own.
Please keeps Skadi in your prayers, manifestations, hopes, minds, and hearts as we want her back home alive, happy, and healthy!
Please continue to support us as we have to up the GFM again, I’m sorry to ask.
Monday 8:10 am update: Skadi’s clotting times are back to normal and her liver values are going down! If this trend continues for 24 hours then she will be taken off IV meds and given them orally!
Thank you so much for your help so far! We are not totally out of the woods yet, but I’m starting to see some sunlight!
Sunday PM update: Skadi took the rest of the transfusion wonderfully and the techs have seen her perk up, she’s been eating on her own too! Because they are testing the clotting times 8 hours after the transfusion is done, we won’t know until later tonight. But we have been assured, no news is iid news, and may receive a call tomorrow instead.
Saturday 5:20 pm update the criticalist said she has a fighting chance because of where her numbers are now (still off the charts but drastically lower) and the power of the liver. So I’m upping the GFM to cover the transfusion (~1,400) and her care with the ER team (~1,500 a night).
They are having us pay for 2 transfusions and other care
OH MY GOSH!! WE HIT THE GOAL!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
As Skadi is getting better I’ll be updating a little less as in the vet world “no news is good news” Because she will be staying there longer we might up the end goal to cover it, but I won’t do that without a bill first.
thank you all, I’m in tears over your kindness
The hospital is having us deposit before the treatment is done and so the GFM looks wonky due to that. Here are all of the hospital bills so far
Hi, on Wednesday night the three dogs got into gum. Gum that was not in an easy place to get to.
Echo managed to not get any of it, he’s been home since Thursday morning
Hazel got some but threw a bit up in my can and on the way to the emergency vet. She came home today, Friday.
Skadi seems to have gotten the most. She is still in the hospital with serious blood issues. We need help for her transfusions. Because she is acting normally we are continuing to help her as best as possible!
Y’alls I’ve never made a GFM before and I am so blown away with your kindness. We can pay off the credit card that we took out for the first deposit. I’ll post info on that as well as soon as I find the emails.
The vet wants Echo and Hazel back tonight for blood draws to double check their liver levels but both are acting as normal. I’ll try to get a video of Skadi while we are there too!
seriously, from the bottom of this small family’s hearts, thank you.
