Help with Sk8kids Expansion

OUR STORY: We are Adele & Jason, owners of Southbay Sk8kids - a skateboarding and rollerskating school and facility in Lawndale, California. In 2015, Jason started his skateboarding school out of the back of his truck. "Anyone can skate, anyone" - this is the message and passion that we share with our community. We teach students from age 2 all the way to 72! Like we said, "anyone can skate."

 

In 2019 we opened up our doors in Lawndale, California to create a safe space and environment for our community to connect all through the love of skating. We teach the younger and older generations how to shred, and every day a parent says to us "I didn't know my kid could do that". We teach more than skating - confidence, discipline, individuality and patience are just some of the tools our students walk away with.

 

SOUTHBAY SK8KIDS EXPANSION:We recently acquired the additional space around our building, nearly doubling our space! We hope to reach our expansion goals (below) BY SPRING 2022:

 

We are asking our community for help in reaching our goals. Southbay Sk8kids is a pillar in the community for adults and children. We are a space that welcomes all students, whether a timid child, or one with a learning disability, to an adult trying something new. Your donation supports the growth of everything we do here and the vision to spread skating to our neighborhood. We hope to complete by late Spring 2022!
