Max and his family

I have set up this page to try and help support Max and his family during some difficult times ahead. Max was born in August 2022, a happy healthy baby. Unfortunately, when he was 7 weeks old it was noticed that Max had prolonged jaundice. After several tests Max was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia a rare condition that affects 1 in 17,000 babies which equates to about 50 births a year.

He then underwent an extensive operation at Birmingham children’s hospital- 1 in only 3 hospitals that can look after this condition in the whole of the UK. Unfortunately, this operation hasn’t worked which now means the only option is for a liver transplant. This will mean constant checks and tests in the weeks ahead and eventually a transplant.

I wanted to be able to set this up to try to help out as I know people have asked to donate to Max and his family, so they have a little bit less to worry about and a lot more time to focus on Max
