With a heavy heart and eyes full of tears, I am reaching out for my brother-in-law Jeff’s family. He has two daughters and two bonus daughters that he and his wife (Cabby) took in.
He was rushed to Methodist Hospital Thursday evening because he was in agonizing pain. My sister received a phone call from him crying in pain that night. She immediately called the nurse station and was told they would give him something for his pain. Friday morning comes, my sister calls me crying hysterically, “He’s on life support; he had a heart attack.” Not one staff member from the hospital called my sister to inform her what was going on with her husband.
The doctors at the hospital have been telling my sister she needs to make a decision. Even on Friday, she was told to make a decision. She hasn’t even had time to process what has happened. Yesterday, a second doctor came and said he was brain dead and the only thing keeping him alive is the machines. That doctor said, “They found Jeff without a pulse and it had been 40 minutes to an hour.”
Long story short, Jeff deserves to be HERE; he should still be breathing. Methodist Hospital in Saint Louis Park, MN, failed him. They took a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin.
Anyone that knows Jeff knows he was a good man. He loved his family. He was always in high spirits no matter the situation. He didn’t deserve this, and it happened so suddenly.
His wife and kids need help with medical and burial expenses. If you’re able to donate or share this, it will help thank you.
