My dad has been a truck driver for the past 21 years. On March 10th 2021 he was driving from Florida to California to deliver his load. He called us at 1 am to let us know he had to pull over because he was dizzy, had a headache, and was vomiting. He was going to try to sleep it OFF. His condition only got worse, now his left side was going numb. Realizing he had to secure his load he dragged himself to the driver seat and began to drive the 10 mile stretch to the nearest truck stop. His vision was blurred and figured to close his left eye to be able to see. We believe God send his angels to get him safely to that truck stop. Only then did he let us know to call 911. At this point his condition had gotten so bad that he couldn’t even open the door to let the ambulance know where he was. In a truck stop at full capacity it was like looking for a needle in a hey stack. We prayed soooo hard for God to direct the ambulance to him. With in minutes they found him! He had suffered a STROKE.
    We had to figure out how to get his load delivered and get him home from Texas to California. My sister and Mom had to rent a car to drive to Texas and bring him home. We also reached out to a fellow truck driver to help deliver his load. With much sacrifice and God leading the way we where able to get it all done and deliver him home and into an intensive rehab center.
     He is an owner operator and pays for his own insurance policy. This is where the go fund me plays a part. There will be medical bills for his stay in an out of network hospital that his insurance won’t pay. The large deductible for the rehab center stay, and all the medical equipment that the insurance does not cover. On top of all his regular bills that he cannot pay if he’s not working. We are trying to save his home and any bit will help.
