Hello, GoFundMe, my name is John. Some of you may know me as my fandom name of SJ.

This is not the sort of thing I want to do, but I have few options left.

I have always been a trusting person, perhaps a little too much, and that has led me into a recent situation where I fell victim to a scam, and lost over 3000 dollars from it. This is money I need to keep a roof over my head, to keep food in my pantry, and to ensure I can survive.

While I do have a day job, in this economy it doesn't offer me enough pay or hours to be able to weather this storm.

I do not want to ask for help, but I need help.

I fully admit that I fell victim to my own mistakes, in overly trusting people, but there is a part of me that still believes in the kindness and honesty of strangers, and so... I am putting my trust in you.

For anyone concerned, I have spoken to my bank and have taken steps to ensure I do not foolishly fall for such a scam again. I have learned my very embarrassing and pricey lesson.
