It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that the City of San Jacinto and the Riverside County Sheriff's Office announce the passing of our beloved K9 officer Sultan. Sultan succumbed to injuries on 01-21-15 sustained during the search for a wanted felon.

This fund is being set up due to the overwhelming response from the community to donate to a memorial fund in Sultan's honor.

All proceeds will go to memorial expenses for Sultan, including a plaque located at the San Jacinto Police Department.  Any remaining proceeds will go to the costs of a new K9, including training, equipment and supplies.  Even if the initial goal of $15,000 is reached (and it looks like it will be), contributions over and above that will still be used for the same purposes.

The City of San Jacinto and the Riverside County Sheriff's Office are sincerely appreciative of the community's generosity.
