Aunt Vivian "Boogie" medical fund

Donation protected

My aunt Vivian known to us as "Boogie" was recently diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer, and after waiting for over a month for her insurance to do something we are now taking her to City of Hope. she has Covered California insurance ( which by the way is a joke). We live in the inland empire and the closest hospital to accept  her is over 50 miles away. Oh wait, there is a local hospital but the doctor list that was given to us are all either in Los Angeles or Newport Beach. This would not be a problem with our family taking her for treatment we were ready to do so, but when we tried to get her an appointment we were told they do not contarct with Covered California anymore. We spent 5 hours trying to find a hospital to accept her. Did I mention "WE" had to make all the calls. By the way she has still yet to see an oncologist, you would think there whould be some kind of urgency. We need your help, there is an out of pocket fee for her to be seen at City of Hope, and we don't even know how much more after that.
I love my aunt, who has been more of a big sister and we want her to have the same fighting chance as anyone else. She is a great wife, mother and grandmother of 2. As if this is not enough, the home she lives in has been sold and she has 3 months to find a new place to live. Our family would be extremely grateful for any help, and WE WILL PAY IT FORWARD. How ironic we have been volunteers and have helped raise money for the American Cancer Society for the past 10 years to one day find a cure, and we will contiue until there is.
