Dear friends and family,

 

Most of you might know Antonio Orozco AKA ( Tio Toño, El paletero guy ) coach Arturo Orozco's uncle.

He is well known in the Redwood City community as he has been selling ice cream for 15 years at Hoover Park, Red Morton and most of the local schools. He is a very generous man who, on several occasions, has given free ice cream to a lot of our soccer players and families who do not have enough money to pay. He is a very sweet man and liked by many.

 

Just two weeks ago, we took him to the ER for terrible pain in the stomach, and after several tests were done, he was told he has stage 4 gastric cancer.

Due to the severity of his case, he is not a candidate for treatment and was given a couple of months to live.

 

His health is declining very quickly, and the cancer is already spread to his brain and kidneys. Consequence of this is he can no longer use his legs. 

 

His wish is to get cremated and send his ashes to Mexico City, where he has two children who cannot travel due to immigration status.

 

I have started a funeral fundraiser to help cover the cost of Antonio's funeral expenses and help his children. Our family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral, and during this difficult time, we are reaching out to the community for help.
