Hi,

A few weeks ago my mom and I were sitting down at the doctor’s office; he confirmed something we weren’t expecting or ready to hear. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.

She has her surgery scheduled for next week, December 23rd at a hospital in Guadalajara. Unfortunately, we can’t cover for all the hospital bills, upcoming expenses such as medication, treatment, flights, chemotherapy and everything that comes with this.

As her daughter, I am reaching out to everyone, family, friends, acquaintances and whoever comes to read this to please help us. This news has taken us completely by surprise and never in my life would I’ve thought I’d be creating this asking for monetary help, much less because of an illness like this.

Everything has happened so quickly, we’ve made arrangements for her surgery but I am aware that this is just the beginning. We are scared, anxious and with emotions that are difficult to explain, but we continue in prayer so that her recovery and treatment will be the best possible.

I want to thank all those who are able to donate, no matter how much, big or small. From the bottom of my heart, from my mom and family thank you.

Hace unas semanas, mi mama y yo recibimos una noticia de parte de su médico, específicamente el oncólogo. Nos confirmó que mi mama había sido diagnosticada con cáncer de mama. Fue una noticia que no esperábamos escuchar, y ha sido la más difícil de digerir hasta el momento.

Tiene programado su cirugía para la siguiente semana, el 30 de Diciembre en un hospital en Guadalajara. Desafortunadamente, no contamos con un presupuesto amplio para cubrir gastos de hospital, tratamiento, medicina, vuelos, quimios y todo lo que conlleva una enfermedad como esta.

Yo, como su hija estoy pidiendo a mis familiares, amigos, conocidos y quien sea quien llegue a leer esto que por favor nos ayude. Esta noticia nos ha tomado completamente por sorpresa y nunca en mi vida pensé llegar a tener que pedir ayuda monetaria, ni mucho menos por una enfermedad como esta.

Todo ha sucedido tan rápido que hemos hecho arreglos para su cirugía pero estoy al tanto que esto solo es el inicio. Estamos asustadas, con ansias y con emociones que son difíciles de explicar, pero seguimos en oración para que su recuperación y tratamiento sea lo mejor posible.
