For my father

Hi, my name is Sarah Schmidt. I would like to start a fundraiser for my father, Gary J Schmidt’s, recent passing. He was battling cancer for many years on and off, and just when we thought he was going to get better, he got suddenly worse. My brother, sister, and I lost him on Easter Sunday. I wanted to create this go fund me to raise money to help with the funeral costs, medical expenses, and any other financial burdens that we may face. My dad did not have life insurance and my family and I were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service, and we think that after everything he has been through, he deserves a beautiful service. All proceeds will go directly to his funeral costs and/or medical expenses. Anything will help, and if you are unable to donate, all we ask is that you can share to help in any kind of way. We would like to say our last goodbyes and give our dad the memorial he deserves. Thank you kindly
