A tree fell on my car :(

Hello everyone,

I’m very disheartened while I write this but I have very little option. A tree fell on top of my car last night during the “bomb cyclone” storm here in Sacramento. The damage did not seem as severe last night but upon further investigating this morning, it’s way worse that I had thought. The tree has severely impacted the door frame and completely shattered my back window, there is a ton of water on the inside from all the rain that came in last night. There will likely be no help from my insurance company as I only have liability. I don’t think the city will be helpful since it was caused by an act of nature. I’m humbly asking for any help with the costs I’ll be incurring in order to get back and forth to work in the next couple of weeks. I may need to look into getting a new car entirely, but won’t know for sure until we can try to move it later on. This was not expected, to say the least. I’ve been so unlucky with my cars in the past year, and am starting to feel like I cannot catch a break…I’m just tired of things happening that are beyond my control…. As I’m typing this people are driving by my house, and getting out of their cars to take pictures and videos of my car to post on their stories or send to their friends, and I kindly want to yell at them “a dollar a picture!!”. But in all seriousness, I know we are all victims of our own circumstance, and I really don’t like having to ask for help. I just don’t know what else to do. A simply share goes a long way. Any help would sure make a tremendous difference in my life at this time and would help take some weight off of my already pretty heavy shoulders. Be safe everyone and thank you in advance.
