Yorkshire SIX Peaks in 24 Hours
Hello friends and kind supporters,
I’m Chris and on the 21st June 2025, I am embarking on a formidable challenge to raise awareness and funds for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a mental health charity that is incredibly close to my heart. On 21.06.25, I will be tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks twice within 24 hours—a grueling journey covering approximately 48 miles. Starting at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, I will hike Pen-y-Ghent (2,277ft), Whernside (2,415ft), and Ingleborough (2,372ft), then turn around and hike back over the same peaks to complete this monumental trek.
Why CALM?
Mental health is a growing crisis in the UK and around the world. Every week, 125 people in the UK take their own lives, and 75% of all UK suicides are male. This is a devastating statistic that highlights the urgent need for better mental health support and awareness, particularly for men who often suffer in silence.
CALM is at the forefront of tackling this crisis. They provide life-saving services, including a helpline and webchat for those in crisis, and campaign tirelessly to remove the stigma surrounding mental health. Their work has never been more crucial.
My Personal Connection
Mental health is not just a statistic to me; it is a deeply personal issue. I have seen firsthand the devastating impact that poor mental health can have on individuals and their families. This challenge is my way of giving back and ensuring that CALM can continue its excellent work, offering hope and support to those who need it most.
How You Can Help
I need your support to reach my fundraising goal. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Together, we can help CALM continue to save lives and bring hope to those struggling with mental health issues.
Donate Now
Please consider donating to my campaign and sharing it with your network. Your support means the world to me and to everyone who benefits from CALM’s services.
Thank you for standing with me and CALM in the fight against mental health crises.
