Small Business Big Dreams Help Six19
Donation protected
Our friends at Six19 opened their doors in the fall of 2021, offering the very best smash burgers your mouth has ever tasted. This restaurant is the true meaning of family-owned and run. The owners, Chris and Liz, are also the master minds in the back, cooking up all of their delicious meals. Chris' wife, Heather, is often times the sole server and bartender for all of the restaurant patrons. Chris and Liz's parents can even be found helping and filling in where needed most weekends. However, Six19 faced a lot of financial challenges in 2023. Problems began when their air conditioning unit broke in August. What should have been a simple fix, ended up costing them thousands of dollars of business due to being forced to close for several weeks. Their tax payment plan with the state of Illinois was cancelled due to a missed payment during that time of closure. It also caused them to fall back on rent payments. Illinois suspended their liquor and business license for almost three months until they could come up with the money to pay a large chunk back. Not only did their business suffer, but their personal finances were also affected tremendously. They had to decide whether they would give up on their dreams and sell the business or if they would try to fight and stay open? We are hoping to help them give one last effort to keep their doors open. They have greatly improved the dining scene in Plano and the surrounding area, and we know how important it is to support local, small, family-owned businesses. Six19's group of regulars have been incredibly supportive, and we know that the community can rally around this family-owned restaurant. Please consider donating to this amazing family and restaurant, and please go see them soon so you can enjoy the delicious food that they have to offer.
