Our Story:

Starts out with me, Sukhjan, better known as JJ. I was gladly given that nickname by my peeps in Vocal Emotions.  I loved music, so because of that I started watching the show "Glee". By the time my 8th-grade

year ended, I was inspired to start one at my high school. Granted I was new at that school, and I didn't really know anyone, but somehow we all came together and it worked! I still remember hanging the posters up around school with two of my friends who turned out to join Vocal Emotions. It was the day after club rush because I forgot club rush was that day. People signed up really quick and the very next day I came to school and rushed to the poster. I was so happy to see that so many people signed up. When the first meeting came around, it was just four of us, including myself. We were a pretty strong group. Before our first performance, on Halloween of course, we had 10 members! Then another performance came around and we did that too! Although, what's a group without a few bumps in the road? We've had our fair share of drama in the group, but in the end, it always comes down to all of us hugging. We're going through some pretty tough stuff right now. People have left and it's pretty hard. Although being as close as we are, we're still going on strong and everyone who left is still a part of the V.E Fam. 


Why should you donate?
If you donate, it will benefit the students of the Livermore Valley Charter Preparatory  School's Acapella group. Also, 10% of every dollar will be donated to Livermore Valley Charter Preparatory. The funds will be used for the transportation, performance tickets, equipment, and advertising. We would like to have the funds by April 31, 2017, if not then, preferably before May 15, 2017.  The support for the students of our school's acapella group gives a chance to be outgoing and not afraid of society judging them for doing what they love. From the group themselves: "We will be influencing our next generation to not be held back by people who are trying to hold you back from being yourself. Being yourself is really hard to do in general because of society's standards. We as a group are trying to break those standards, not just for us, but for everyone. So, your support will definitely mean a lot to us and future generations." Thank you so much!

Your support means the absolute universe to us! If you donate, we get to show society and the next generations after us why you should be you. We want to help society by breaking all of society's standards about how we should all be the same. We should all be unique and diverse.
