Sitting (In Silence) @sittinginsilence.play is a five star, multi-award-winning play by Kitty Falcon, which was first developed at the Kiln Theatre in London. The tragi-comedy explores a complex father-daughter relationship during a ten-day silent meditation retreat, drawing on Kitty’s personal experience losing her dad to suicide. The production has already received critical acclaim following it's first run at Brighton Fringe 2025 and is currently being prepared for Edinburgh Fringe 2026 (Confirmed Venue: Summerhall).
Taking a show to the Fringe is expensive. Like “why does a month in Edinburgh cost more than my yearly rent?” expensive. And while we’d love to pretend we’re all independently wealthy theatre-makers, the truth is we’re not. So if you’re able to donate, or even just share , you’d be helping us make this show possible.
We’re committed to making this show responsibly and with care. As part of the Fringe run, we are partnering with nationwide suicide prevention charities including Dad La Soul and Papyrus UK, helping to raise mental health awareness and signpost our audiences to support.
Your donations will help cover...
- Venue and Fringe registration fees
- Accommodation and travel for the team
- Marketing and PR
- Paying artists fairly (radical, we know)
- Accessibility and safeguarding support
