Hello! My name is Alexander McMillion, and I am currently a junior at the University of Central Florida majoring in History. I am proud to share that I am a contestant #1 in the UCF Chapter of SISTUHS, Inc. Man of Substance Pageant. If crowned Man of Substance, I plan to use the scholarship toward my tuition.

My platform focuses on strengthening historical education and civic awareness within minority communities in real, practical ways. I want to create spaces where students and young adults can learn how local government works, understand how policies affect their everyday lives, and feel confident asking questions and getting involved. A lot of times we are expected to navigate systems that no one ever fully explains to us. I want to help change that.

As a History major, I see how much our past connects to what we experience today. I believe that when people understand where things come from, they feel more prepared to move forward. This work is important to me because I want young people who look like me to feel informed, confident, and capable of shaping their own futures.
