Sisters with Blisters walk for the Gaza Soup Kitchen
Donation protected
Sisters with Blisters are 7 women from the UK walking 50km along the South West Coast Path in aid of the Gaza Soup Kitchen, a not for profit charity registered in the US, but working on the ground inside Gaza to provide hot meals, water, medical aid and love to as many people as possible. Their motto is "Stirring up Soup, Not Conflict". Two of us are even going to camp along the way- and if that isn’t worth supporting with a few quid then I don’t know what is!
The Gaza Soup Kitchen was started by Mahmoud Almadhoun in Gaza and his brother Hani in the US in early 2024. Despite Mahmoud being targeted and killed in late November last year, the kitchen still feeds 3000 people a day. They also run a small local school for kids, medical clinics and water distribution points. Hani is the Director of UNRWA the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the US. Please give, and give generously. We can’t stop the bombs (unfortunately) but we can show we care.
