3 Sisters, lost homes in Camp Fire

Donation protected
These three senior citizen sisters Beth, Patty and Gretchen  are my husband's first cousins, who lost their homes in the horrific Paradise fire.  Shown here in August with my husband Doug when we visited them in happier times.  Their father Earl and Doug's mother were DeSeelhorst siblings in Modesto and San Jose.   As their cousins, we want to help them get re-settled.

Two sisters are widows and one is unmarried. They escaped the fire with the clothes on their backs and little else.   One remembers driving in her car through flames thinking she would burn to death when her pastor called her and calmed her with Bible passages.  They cry for the indoor kitties they lost, their homes, belongings, treasured tokens and the turmoil they now are facing.  Nothing is left.

We are trying to help them with funds to buy shoes, underwear, PJs, towels, sheets, beds, light furniture and everyday supplies.  Although used clothing has been donated, they are seniors and few things fit them.

The sisters are senior citizens (77, 73, 71) on limited income, faced with starting over.  They need low rent housing and help with current costs.  We hope to raise $5000 for each of them, to get started until insurance or assistance comes through.  Two need housing, one obtained a temporary rental in Chico , but furnishings are difficult.  Gift cards, small tables, clean towels and linens are other supplies they can use.  Anything given with care and love helps.
