We are Maggie and Liz, two friends who believe that sisterhood has no borders. Through our initiative, Girls for Uganda, we are partnering with Turget Uganda—a grassroots organization founded by Grace—to support girls in Uganda who face significant challenges due to lack of access to menstrual products and education.
Grace and her team at Turget work tirelessly to provide menstrual products to girls, bring in speakers to talk about reproductive rights and menstrual cycles, and educate young women about menstruation. Without these resources, many girls are forced to miss an average of 18% of their school year, staying home simply because they don’t have what they need. In fact, 65% of women in Uganda don’t have the right resources for menstruation. This not only affects their education, but also their confidence and future opportunities.
We are raising funds to send directly to Turget Uganda. Your support will help purchase essential menstrual products, fund educational workshops, and empower Grace and her team to continue their vital work. Menstruation happens to half the population—products aren’t a privilege, they’re a right. Please join us in breaking the stigma and supporting these girls. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference. Thank you for standing with us and showing that sisterhood truly has no borders.
