As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. In Sha Allah this message finds you in the highest state of iman. On behalf of Sister Rugayyah and her family we are seeking urgent assistance from the community. As many of you may know that Sister Rugayyah has been patiently battling an aggressive cancer and brain tumors. Alhamdulilah, many people who love sister Rugayyah have offered assistance. As you all know sister Rugayyah is a very humble sister with the dhikr of Allah always on her tongue. Not a person would be in her presence but that they were reminded of Allah سبحان وتعالى . Sister Rugayyah spent the healthier part of her life as a student and teacher, always learning and always giving back to her communities in the best form- knowledge of Allah سبحان وتعالى . From teaching students at Dar Un Noor School to teaching the 99 names of Allah at masjid Bilal ibn Rabah or teaching online classes and always ready to give a new sister shahaadah, to being concerned about her salat during her most difficult days. Rugayyah wholeheartedly demonstrated love for Allah, Islam and her Muslim brothers and sisters.

Now while Sister Rugayyah may not approve of this petition to seek financial assistance from her community, those close to her know that it’s a great need. As her condition worsens, aid is needed to assist in her growing medical cost. She is in need of palliative care (hospice), perhaps janazah services in the near future bi’itnillah and her personal request of a well in her name.

Sisters, brothers and the ummah at large we want to do our best to help alleviate any financial burden on the family as the family is patiently working through this with Allah’s help.

As you give, please give with not only our dear sister in mind, but with yourselves in mind as well.
