Please help us raise funds in support of Sisi Fisman!
Sisi is a spirited 3-year-old girl who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in June 2015. She has been receiving chemotherapy treatment since her diagnosis, and will continue to do so until April of 2016, for a total of 9 months of treatment. She is currently in the midst of receiving 6 weeks of special proton radiation therapy to treat her tumor at The Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, and with 2 siblings at home (Benji is 10 and Giulietta is 8), her parents take turns traveling to and from Philadelphia to be by her side. While most of her medical expenses are covered by OHIP, all of the non-medical essentials like childcare, travel expenses, hotel costs, transportation, and lost income from time away from work are not.
To say Sisi is a delight is an understatement. She is one of the spunkiest 3-year-olds you will ever meet, greets everyone she encounters with a smile, and her love for life is reflected in everything she does. In fact, she recently crashed a wedding party at a park in Philadelphia and totally stole the show from the bride! We cannot wait for Sisi to get better and join her friends at school again. We miss her and her love for princesses and the silly things she says to make us laugh so much, and so desperately want to see her beat this horrible disease.
With permission from Sisi’s parents, we have started this Go Fund Me page in an effort to help alleviate the financial burden from her family so they can focus all of their efforts on Sisi. No parent should ever have to endure the atrocities of watching their child struggle with a horrible disease such as this, and any donations will be much appreciated.
If you are unable to donate, keeping Sisi in your thoughts and prayers would be just as wonderful. As Sisi has been saying - "all for one and one for all, HURRAY!!
