Sirius My journey from sand to sofa

Hi my name is Claire I'm fundraising to help some beach dogs we fell in love with while on holiday in Calis Turkey.

We fell in love with one dog in particular Sirius, a gorgeous kind gentle dog with nowhere to call home abandoned and left to fend for himself, not knowing where his next meal is coming from, relying on tourists for food and clean water.

They live in constant fear and suffer abuse no shelter from the sweltering heat in the summer or freezing temperatures in winter, no source of food when the season is over.

There is also a new law looming in Turkey that will see all stray dogs euthanized so I'm desperate to help the ones we met. Yes I've been guilty of saying the same myself that there's plenty to rescue in the UK, but they aren't treat cruel like these dogs.

Since returning home we found a page on fb set up to try and help these dogs, worming feeding ect. It's called dogs & cats of calis & jiva beach fethiye Turkey.

I've set this page up as a few of my friend have asked as they'd like to help with the cost. We have paid a deposit to secure Sirius a space in November to come to the UK, he's now in foster care and had his initial vaccinations.

Ideally I'd like to raise enough to help some of the others secure a forever home too.
