Siri's Road to LPGA

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

My name is Siripatsorn (Siri) Patchana. Recently just graduated from Grand Canyon University, majoring in Sports Psychology and minoring in Communication. As a kid, my dream was to become a professional golfer on the LPGA Tour. During my college career, I was motivated more than ever to pursue that dream. As I am getting ready to embark on my new journey, the realization of the financial burdens is becoming more real than ever.

A little bit about me
I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. My dad introduced me to the game of golf when I was nine years old. I and my dad traveled to play tournaments in the United States, and that is when I knew I wanted to pursue golf as a career. I worked hard to get into a university in America and chose to attend Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. The last 5 years of my college career have made me want to be a professional golfer more and more every single day. I want to keep proving to myself that I can become the person I once dreamt about as a little girl. After graduating, I learned that nothing is handed to you; you will have to earn it and make the best of what you have. I worked so hard to get to where I am right now. I am currently working part-time with my coach but unfortunately, the cost of living and golf expenses are above my ability.

Professional golf has always been my dream as a child. I'm putting my heart and soul into this game and I wanted to have a chance to do what I love. During the pandemic, my family was going through financial hardship and wasn’t able to help me jump-start my career, and I felt that it is not their responsibility to help me when they are going through hard times. So I decided to do it myself, with a limited time left before Q-school, I would appreciate any help.

I have set out my financial plan to budget my golf for 2022. I will use the funds raised to play in tournaments, travel costs associated with tournaments, swing coach fees, physical trainer fees, and mental strength coach fees. A significant portion of the funds will be used for the LPGA Qualifying School, which costs upwards of $20,000 when all expenses are added. After Qualifying school, I will continue to play mini-tours, Monday Qualifier to an LPGA and Epson tour event.

With your generosity, you will allow me to continue this journey. Any amount is appreciated, and it will help me pursue my dream.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
