Sir William Stephenson Intrepid Statue
We're raising money to create a bronze statue to one of the greatest Canadians ever. The Statue will be installed outside of the library in the Town of Whitby where Camp-X was situated during WW2.
Camp-X was the top-secret Spy School In Canada on the border of Whitby/Oshawa and was the brainchild of Sir William Stephenson (Intrepid). Camp-X sent over 500 secret agents behind enemy lines.
Recognizing Stephenson's accomplishments is long overdue and it is now time to right this wrong.
The statue is being created by world-renown sculpture Ruth Abernethy.
